Team,
Thanks again for all your support and encouragement during my recent 7 week stay with you.... Here is the text of the email I sent to PADI as promised;
Sir/Madam,
I have just returned to the UK following a 7-week Sabbatical in Thailand with the objective of passing my IE. I was successful, but wanted to ensure that I passed on to PADI how impressed I was with the instructional team that worked with me as follows;
1) DM Course and Internship; I carried this out over 4 weeks with Paradise Diving Asia Ltd (6453)in Nai Yang, Phuket, Thailand. The team there is very strong and was a pleasure to work with but I especially wanted to single out David Brown (MSDT#484820) and Lara Brion (Divemaster #491588 ) as follows;
a. David Brown for his excellent tuition, his attention to detail, his mentorship, support and his drive to help me succeed as a “trainee” Divemaster. Without Dave’s enthusiasm for educating and preparing me, I doubt I would have been quite as successful at the IDC/IE and I credit him with putting in place the foundations of my Professional education and career to come!
b. Lara Brion for her support, caring and encouragement as I worked to achieve Dave’s very high standards. Without Lara looking after me at times, achieving what I did would have been that much harder!
I would be prepared to recommend these companies and the specific individuals to anyone wanting to do as I have done. I hope that PADI will also recognise the centres and especially the individuals for their contributions.

Liebstes Wölfchen,
vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit auf Deiner Spielwiese und die Berge von Wurstbroten mit Gurken (natürlich von Deiner Mama). Wir werden diese Zeit niemals vergessen. Aber so wie aus Hänschen manchmal Hans wird, bist Du nun leider auch zum Wolf mutiert. Viele tausend Kilometer entfernt, haben wir leider mal wieder Deinen Geburtstag verschwitzt. Aber das kennst Du ja bereits von uns. Trotz allem wünschen wir Dir noch ein schönes erfülltes Leben und falls Dich der Wind mal wieder in Richtung Gebersdorf führt, ruf uns einfach an. Aber nur, wenn die Mama wieder Brote schmiert.

Hallo Mea, Hallo Wolf,
vielen vielen Dank nochmals für die wunderbaren Trips die wir mit Euch machen durften. Natürlich auch einen heißen Dank für dieses wunderbare Abschlußessen und unsere beider Verlobungen. Es war einfach hinreissend. Wir haben viel gesehen und haben uns seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehr erholt. Wir werden im nächsten Jahr wiederkommen. Für Euch alles Gute, viel Erfolg und wir bleiben unbedingt in Kontakt miteinander.
