HISTORY                                    >> DIVEBASE

It was at Millenium 2008 when we started to go for a new challenge. Thailand was our first Destination where Meja in Ko Chang, not far from Trat, did her Padi Rescue Diver within a programm called "working for education". Wolf already had a contract there to start as an Instructor.

After 3 month there, we decided to explore the countries near by, if they would be interesting to make our dreams come true to open our own Dive center in South East Asia. Cambodia, Vietnam, Philippines were really exiting for travelling but did not provide the type of life we were looking for.

So we decided to head to a western style Country and went to Australia. Besides the terrific dives at the Great Barrier Reef as well as an attractive Joboffer at Mission Beach could we not really decide to stay there.

Something was somehow always missing and we had to understand that "the perfect place" just simply does not exist. So, which place would fulfill our needs most and this permanently?

We were already travelling more then a year, not much money left so we had to make a decision. Let's forget about the plan with the own Divecenter by now and let's travel and work for high seasons in different places we thought might be the best. Anything better then to go back to Germany.

So it happened, that we were landing on the 21. of January 2001 directly after 6 month Australia in Phuket and so back in Thailands paradise.

Honestly, we were a bit shocked. Directly from Australians Outback moved within hours to Phuket Town is a big difference. But as we started to explore the Island and learn about we realized, Phuket offers everything what a westener would miss with the time and what anybodys heart is looking for.

In the north of Phuket, only 5 min. away from the Airport but silent, is the small place called Nai Yang Beach. Wolf found immediately a job as Dive Instructor and Meja started with her Divemaster and Asisstant Instr. Course. Again "working for education". After a while the owners decided to sell their diveshop and well, since then we are here and operating successfully. Our modern Divecenter is still at the same place as it used to be when the hotel was known as "Pearl Village Hotel".

Since this days, we had up and downs, went through Catastrophes and had to stand against trouble makers and competitors. We would like to say thank you to all our friends, Guests, Snorkler and Divers for their support, friendship and loyality.

Also we would like to say thank you to all Guests, Competitors and Troublemakers who try in a wide variety to make our life miserable. We understand through their help that we just have to learn to be as perfect as possible, to develope more understanding and acceptance that also this kind of people have a right to exist.

We wish everybody to get what they deserve 'om nama shivaya'

Kindly with many Greetings yours
