Pre Instructor Development Course (Pre IDC), 2 Days

Prior to the start of the new Instructor Development Course, Assistant Instructor Course or OWSI program, the candidate must complete all 16 IDC Knowledge Reviews from the IDC Candidate Workbook.

This may be accomplished by self-study or through staff led pre-course sessions. During our two days IDC Pre-study staff instructors will guide you through your reading assignments and help you understand PADI standards, educational philosophy, training suggestions and other background information.

You'll also be completing the new PADI Divemaster exam including Physics, Physiology, Skills & Environment, Equipment and the RDP. The dive theory is usually the most common improvement area for IDC candidates.

The PADI Crossover program (see SSI/BSAC/CMAS Corresponding Levels with PADI) acknowledges that you're an experienced scuba instructor who only needs an orientation to the PADI system. This condensed course focuses on first analyzing and understanding the PADI system, and then adapting your instructional style to conduct PADI programs.

The Crossover program consists of the five days OWSI program. We invite you to attend the full nine-day IDC Program at the reduced Crossover price.

Continuing Education

Emergency First Response Instructor (EFRI)

Training in First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is important for both divers and non-divers. In this one-day course, we run realistic practical training, conduct how to use Defibrillators (AED) and Oxygen, backed up by videos. The course includes of course the new "Care for Children Program". Emergency First Respond Instructors are entitled to teach the Emergency First Respond Course, which is a vital part of several PADI certification levels (Rescue Diver, Divemaster, Assistant Instructor and Instructor Development).

Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT)

PADI Specialty Instructor Courses, run by the Course Director, give a detailed insight into specialized areas of diving, impart practical experiences and so help to pass on specialized areas of diving to interested divers. Acquiring PADI Specialty Instructor certification allows you to teach a wide range of special courses. Besides the opportunity to go on your favorite dives, you'll be able to pass on to others your interests and experience.
